The beginning that changed everything
Our first client was ČSFD.cz – and it remains so to this day. It was the moment when our vision became reality. The bold step of building our own data center paid off: since then, we have helped thousands of projects grow, and today over 40,000 of them run on our infrastructure. Together with them, we have shown that a Czech company can set the pace even in an industry where others rely on foreign giants.
The people behind the technology
Behind every server are people who provide non-stop service. Our administrators work directly in the data center and are ready to resolve requests within minutes – day and night. That is why we maintain a 99.42% customer satisfaction rate when it comes to resolving requests. For us, reliability is not just a phrase, but an everyday reality that our customers appreciate in the most important way: their business simply runs smoothly.
When speed matters
When the data center was launched in 2015, connectivity was provided by several lines, each with a capacity of 10 Gbps. Cisco Nexus switches and Juniper routers were chosen during construction and have been reinforced and upgraded in subsequent years.
The first major breakthrough came in 2018. We were the first hosting provider in the country to launch a 100 Gbps backbone infrastructure. While our competitors were still fine-tuning their 10 Gbps lines, we were already testing connections with Google and Telia Sonera at ten times the speed.
Another upgrade in 2024 to a 400 Gbps backbone with Nexus 9332 switches confirmed our simple philosophy: always be one step ahead. While most data centers were just switching to 100 Gbps, we already had four times the capacity.
What does that mean in practical terms? When your e-shop can handle three times the number of customers during Black Friday without a single glitch.
Security and standards: Pioneers in the field
In 2018, we were the first Czech hosting company to become a member of MANRS, a global initiative defining rules for secure internet routing. At the same time, we became part of the national security project FENIX, operated on the grounds of the Czech neutral peering node, the NIX.CZ association.
Does it sound technical? It is technical. And very important. These standards and rules help protect against various attacks that can, for example, "steal" entire network blocks or otherwise limit the availability of services provided. In practice, this means that connectivity is protected in accordance with current security standards, compliance with which is monitored by independent authorities.
Infrastructure superstructure that works
Redundancy. A word you hear all the time here. We have two of every critical system, some even three. Two separate power supply branches for each rack, UPS systems in a 2+2 configuration, air conditioning with backup power supply, dual backbone and access switches and backbone routers, including their control modules, and, of course, redundant power supply for all infrastructure components. Data center connectivity is ensured by redundant lines so that a possible failure on any of the routes does not affect the services provided, including optical routes leading from multiple directions without concurrence.
In 2020, when the world came to a standstill due to the pandemic, we increased our capacity by 2,500 servers in a month. How? We pulled them out of storage. While our competitors waited for deliveries from Asia, we installed them.
A green revolution without compromise
ESG. Three letters that changed our thinking in 2022. A 100% transition to renewable energy sources, photovoltaics on the data center wall (air conditioning is on the roof), electrification of the vehicle fleet, and the associated establishment of five charging stations. But beware—zero compromises on performance.
New technologies consume less, last longer, and compute faster. A win-win for the planet and our clients.
What will the next ten years bring?
Edge computing, quantum networks, AI acceleration. Trends that will shape the next decade. We are already testing 800 Gbps technology and preparing infrastructure for workloads that we cannot even imagine today.
But one thing remains the same: we are still the ones who say "yes" where others see problems. We continue to invest in technology before we need it. And we still believe that the best infrastructure is the one that the customer doesn't even know about—it just works.
10 years of our own data center. Almost a hundred employees. Thousands of satisfied customers. And we still enjoy it.
